The Calcasieu Parish Police Jury received notification late Thursday (September 11th) regarding the status of Calcasieu's application for FEMA Individual Assistance related to Hurricane Gustav. President Bush has announced that Calcasieu Parish has been added to the list of parishes for the Major Disaster Declaration for the State of Louisiana related to this storm.
